LONG STORY SHORT

Born as the son of a professional musician, my connection to music and performing has never been very far away. As long as I can remember, I have been attracted to the piano and loved the instrument ever since I started hearing and playing it. Following classical piano lessons was very good for my development, but I didn't quite like the music. Luckily, my teacher recognised this as well, so he usually let me play more modern classical pieces. The sound of these pieces is still classical, but you can hear the other influences in them. That's why I started studying jazz music at the age of 18. Even though I had been hearing this style of music since forever, everything was very new to me. Not having the notes, improvisation, playing in a band... Thanks to a very patient and good teacher, I learned about the ins and outs of this style and steadily grew more confidence in performing. I managed to get accepted at the conservatory of Maastricht in 2013, where I performed my Bachelor exam in May 2018. My greatest passion lies in playing music with all my heart, put a lot of emotion into it. The best feeling for me, is sharing the stage with other great musicians and friends. That's why I play mostly as a freelance piano/keyboard player and since 2019 I'm a member of the trio "Happy & the 2 Tones". This is where my life is at the moment and I hope to keep on exploring the world (both literally and musically).
